Abstract: I have found this species to be regular but not abundant at any of the sites I have worked at in southern Ecuador, including Buenaventura, Cerro Blanco, Rumi Wilco, and Jorupe. It is has a fluttery flight and is immediately distinguished from all other melitaeines in the area by the extremely pallid coloration. In fact, if one is not careful, at first glance flying adults may be mistaken for one of the more numerous yellow Eurema species. I have so far had little interaction with this species but have recorded it feeding at flowers of Bidens pilosa at Rumi Wilco.
